P000342 - Easystart Web + Pro Controller configuration error
We've identified a specific issue occurring exclusively when the EasyStart Web TP7.2 is linked to the latest Pro controller on the S3/S2 D2L Models 12v via CAN-BUS. Users encountering this problem receive error code P000342.
To address this, we've implemented a temporary solution by connecting the EasyStart Web to the LIN (blue/white wire) or S+ (yellow wire).
This eliminates the fault once the system operates on its dedicated communication channel.
However, this workaround comes at the cost of losing the advantages of having both devices connected through CAN-BUS, leading to customer dissatisfaction. We are keen to explore whether Eberspacher has developed a resolution for the CAN-Bus option.

Currently, we have identified a solution for the S3 D2L model heaters. The issue lies with the ECU software version 02.03.10 or earlier, which causes the fault.
The only effective method to prevent fault code P000342 from recurring is by installing/flashing the new ECU with software version 02.03.11. Once this process is completed, the fault will be resolved.
